Message from our President
I trust this letter finds you well. Our April meeting was another great gathering.
Many of you expressed how impressed you were with Ron DeSantis, candidate
for the new US Congressional Seat. Many of you came up to me after the
meeting saying "I really like this guy." This is a seat with several great
candidates worth taking a hard look at. I hope you will continue to read about
them, follow them online and see them when possible in person before the
August 14 primary.
The date of the General Election is fast approaching and things are really
heating up . . . in all races (Local, State and National). Candidates jumping in
and out of races, endorsements both impassioned & unexcited, bumper
stickers, phone calls and fundraisers - yup it's an election year! It seems like we
have been working for 4 years (because we have) but now is the time we
continue to work . . . exhausted and weary . . . with pure adrenaline pushing us
through each day because on November 7 we want to wake up confident in
knowing we did everything we could to support our conservative candidates to
take back the White House and the Senate, fortify the Florida House and Senate
and occupy as many local seats as possible! This is our singular mission,
nothing else matters . . . nothing.
We are excited to hear from Senator John Thrasher this month. We will also be
honored to have William Cannons (member Susan Knapp's father) in
attendance just one week after his trip to Washington D.C. on the Volusia Honor
Air fight to see the WWII Memorial. What a great way to kick off Memorial Day
weekend when we honor those who have given the last full measure of devotion
for our country.
