The Republican Women’s Conservative Book Club which has met for some years, directed by the Political Activist,
Carol Pratt, has sadly lost its leader. Carol, though still a member of this group needs a well deserved break.
Some of the members of this group would like to continue Carol’s legacy. If you savor Historical, Political, Civic-
Social writings, perhaps you’d like to join us.
Anyone can suggest a book to be reviewed. Anyone can actually give the report. We meet for lunch on the third
Thursday of each month. Whether you just wish to offer commentary or listen, or socialize, perhaps you’d like to
join us. Everyone can share their views.
Since our government system started with the “Miracle at Philadelphia” (which is the story of the Constitutional
Convention in 1787) or first book discussion will be on the book of that name, by Catherine Drinker Bowen.
